The capillary tube system uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant—a more eco-friendly choice compared to other refrigerants. When utilized in tandem with preventive maintenance performed on a regular basis, the fan compressor’s self-cleaning function helps optimize performance and lengthen the unit’s lifespan. At the beginning of each cycle, the motor directs air in reverse for a 20-seconds period; this blows away any buildup that may have settled on the condensing coil since the last cycle. Made of stainless steel, this unit's exterior is durable, while its corrosion-resistant, GalFan-coated steel back and clear-coated aluminum interior liner can be wiped down. The cabinet and drawers of the True TUC-60D-4-ADA-HC two-section undercounter refrigerator are insulated with foamed-in-place, high-density polyurethane.
