The freezer uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant and operates on a time-initiated, time-terminated automatic defrost system. Equipped with energy-efficient fan motors, a consistent volume of air is moved and a minimal amount of heat is produced. To streamline maintenance, the condenser unit slides out from behind the front grill, while an epoxy coating on the evaporator reduces the possibility of corrosion. To increase the unit's lifespan, the condensing fan motor blows air in reverse for 20 seconds when the compressor cycles on. Designed to work alongside preventive maintenance, this mechanism helps eliminate debris from the condensing coil to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
